So the time has finally come for me to ship my life over to Germany. My fiancée – Kyle has been over here since April.
For the past couple of weeks I have been busy packing up our lives, shipping it across to Germany, donating loads of bags of stuff to charity – the last count was 33 – and packing up what we couldn’t ship to go into storage. An absolutely mammoth task by myself!
My lovely chap did a great job of choosing an apartment when he first moved over – is nice, large spacious living areas with a nice new kitchen. Only problem is that the kitchen is considerably smaller than my one in the UK.
The purpose of this blog is to document my baking trials and tribulations over here – including attempting to source British style ingredients in a country which predominately sells gateaux and tortes as opposed to what we Brits refer to as proper cake!
